Happy Fantastic Hats
About
Each hat is handcrafted in my Burlington, Vermont studio. I sew my artisanal hats and small accessories from scratch. My hats are one-of-a-kind or made in VERY limited, small batches. Some of my hats are hand printed with my art before I sew them. Many are sustainably made using unwanted fabric remnants and scraps.
Original Hand-printed Art
My work begins as analog pencil and ink drawings on paper. I transfer my art to a silkscreen and hand print my art on fabric. Then I cut the fabric and sew it into a hat. Each hat takes between 1.5 - 3 hours to make.
Sustainably Made
I source many of my fabrics locally using sustainable methods such as thrifting, up-cycling ripped clothing, and collecting donations. I also use my scraps and patchwork them together to create one-of-a-kind looks.
